The nature of many jobs today is that people spend lots of hours glued on a computer screen. The strain placed on the eyes is just one of many eye problems collectively referred to as computer vision problems.
– Even kids are affected by eye strain due to many hours on computer screens and tablets and especially if both lighting and posture are less than ideal.
– Having to focus and refocus on images on the screen takes a toll on the eye muscles. Flicker, glare and contrast from the screen also adds to strain and eye trouble.
Follow the 20-20-20 rule. Look away from the screen every 20 minutes or so and look at something around 20 feet away for about 20 seconds. Blink often to keep your eyes moist. If they feel dry, try some eye drops.
